2005 Pac. Blower won't shut off even when the power is turned off

Started yesterday, there seems to be no control over the blower system. Blows contnually on high when the power is off, when power is on it blows sort of normal but the location is hosed up. Is there any manual available for the car? Is there a online schematic available? How about a fuse location? I am thinking it is computer controlled????

Control valve sends the air where ever it wants regardless of the switch position and, the a/c is intermittant with cold and hot air. I took it to the dealer under extended warranty and all they did was charge me $100 deductable and changed the filter.

There is a relay located in the under hood fuse box , front blower motor relay .Plus a fuse ,fuse #42 40 amp. The relay is controlled by the integrated power module . There are two type systems ,one has a resistor block an the other uses front blower power module . (computer) Check out the wiring diagram here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model and engine size. Under system click on HVAC ,then under subsystem click on HVAC controls . Click the search button then the blue links. I think the difference is a manual or automatic system . Which does your's have ?

SOURCE: Heater blower

Sounds like the blower motor resistor is bad. These things go bad all the time. and for the switching modes there is a vacuum line that runs under the window in the engine compartment and runs by the alternator, its tiny and may take a few minutes to find. check first by the evaporator case and follow it by the alternator to the driverside of the throttle body. these too break and will not allow the heater mode changes. the blower motor resistor controls the fan speeds and the vacuum line allows which vent the air flow goes through.

SOURCE: Air Conditioner blower no longer blows

verify that there is power to the blower motor and that a fuse is just not blown.
if the fuse is good and there is power to the motor you will need to replace the blower motor.

SOURCE: heater blower motor only works on high

You most likely need to replace the ignition switch. Sounds weird, but check out other posts. It works.

2012 Equinox the ac fan works intermittemtly. Blows ok for days then nothing. What are the likely problems. The ac line is cold so compresdor seems ok.

The A/C line's , the compressor etc. wouldn't have anything to with the blower motor working intermittently . electrical power supply problem . Looking at wiring diagrams to see what all is involved in making the blower motor work would be the first step in diagnosing the problem . Knowing GM vehicle's i would say the blower control module is starting to go bad . GMC Yukon HVAC Blower Motor Won Turn On This is the same on your chevy .

BLOWER FAN WILL NOT SHUT OFF EVEN WHEN TRUCK TURNED OFF

Sounds like the blower control module. Alo inpect the multi wire plug, they sometimes get damaged from the heat. The module and plug should be in the immediate vicinity of the blower motor, generally behind or below the glove box

Blower motor won't shut off on a 2005 chevy monte carlo

Your post is not making sense. If the blower motor wasn't shutting off, how would replacing it cause anything to change? Clearly, there is a problem with the power supply TO the motor. If you want the motor to turn off, you need to check WHY the power to the motor is not cut off when the switch is turned to the off position. Probably a bad switch. Or it could be the blower motor resistor even, albeit a lot less likely.

Check rear blower control switch for operation and for fault. You may need a multimeter to check electrical outputs.

Fan control only works on high in a gmc 2005 canyon

Replace the blower motor resister,it is mounted right next to the blower motor,it has a lug with about 7 wires on it.Just unplug it and remove two screws to remove the resister. This controls the speeds for the blower motor. The blower motor is the cause of the resister failure.Even if the motor seems to sound, and run fine,it is pulling to many amps.
