Does the anti-theft light flash really fast when trying to start the vehicle ? Learning how to test the systems rather then going by i was
recently told it could be this or that . I say your best bet , have it towed to a qualified repair shop . Because if it is the anti-theft system ,your not going to be able to do anything with it .
Yes. But I wouldn't recommend it, as on modern vehicles the anti theft is linked in to the alarm, ignition and the gearbox on Automatics. It could also be an important part of the ECU. If it was easy then cars would be stolen with even more regularity.
if the vehicle starts then stops and the anti-theft light is flahing you may need to re-set the pass-key system to do this you will need to atempt to start the vehicle and when it stalls leave the key in that position and watch the anti-theft light. it should flash on and off for about 5 to 10 minutes. when it stops flahing turn the ignition to off then try to restart your vehicle
