Confusing dashboard symbols on 2007 DTS

I know that you have to remove the screw(s) securing the handle in place. Then you should be able to pop the panel using a trim tool. See below for a helpful site:

Also try searching online for "remove door panel Cadillac DTS". This should bring up the more accurate reference in Justanswer.com also some YouTube clips.

its easy, open the flip door part way and you can just pull, the tray will pop off the plastic hinges. when you are done looking, just pop the tray back on.

Everything I'm seeing suggests that the 2007 Cadillac DTS gas tank can only be opened with the remote. It's a common complaint.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

InInside the drivers door in the back of the storage compartment is the switch to open the fuel door.

there is a manual release in the trunk in case the cable breaks

there should be a pull cable located in the trunk on the side

There is no button to open the gas door from the inside of the car.  As long as the doors are unlocked, you should be able to push in the far right side of the gas door and the left side will pop open. I too spent hours looking for this non existent button..I went as far as to going back to the car dealership.

Are you sure it has a remote release for the fuel door? I think that might be optional on the Chrysler 300. Try pushing down on the fuel door and then release it to see if it pops open.

I had one gas door solenoid replaced under warranty. Since then I have just shot a bit of WD40 onto the post comng from the solenoid that holds the door closed. Do this at each oil change and the problems should stop.
