I have a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 Conversion van. I replaced the water pump and I am trying to replace my belt and it seems to keep coming up short or too long. I am following the diagram and still not having success. Thanks for the help
Should be a diagram on radiator core support, which is where the radiator bolts to, should be a diagram tag or when you open hood it may be on inside of hood look up when you open hood if its not on core support, should be on inside of hood.It will show exactly how the belt goes on

Sorry just noticed you read the diagram and your saying its either to long or to short, heres a idea follow the diagram as it shows,in most cases it will seem that the belt is to short but the tension pulley is spring loaded you need to take the tension off the pulley and that should give the little extra you need to put belt completely on usually there is a spot for a breaker bar you insert the bar in the slot and lift up or in some cases push down that should take the tension off pulley and allow you to put belt on,
