I have been trying to replace the main power outlet in the car closest to the driver. I have the part now and plugged it in to electrical apparatus from car but get no power to any of the power outlets. Have checked all small fuses. Is one of the larger fuses the problem? I also have a problem when connecting a power converter directly to the car battery. When I do this there is an immediate pop and break of the fuse in the power converter. Is there a polarity problem or what is causing it. Dan
SOURCE: No power to cigarette lighter/power outlet (front & rear)..
Replace the 15 amp ACC fuse that is in the fusebox under the dash. See if this eliminates your problem.
SOURCE: I first noticed that my power outlets did not work.
Does it blow if you plug in something different. The thing you plugged in might be shorted.
SOURCE: outlet in the center console not working
Power outlet is a 10Amp fuse in driver's side junction side fuse labeled GAUGE No.1
SOURCE: Front dash electrical power outlet in is dead. Not a blown fuse.
Owners manual should tell you what fuse, or cover of fuse panel.

Do you have a 12 volt DC test light? About $5.00-$10.00 at autoparts store or some hardware stores.
