With the phone closed, hold down the multi-function button on the lower-right side of the phone for a few seconds; that will lock all of the buttons on your phone until you either a) open the phone, or b) hold down the same button for another few seconds to unlock the keys.
To the best of my knowledge, there's no way to set the button to ALWAYS be disabled when closed; you have to lock it every time you close the phone.
NOTE: Locking your keys can create another problem, at least on my phone, where I've disabled the option to anser a call by flipping it open (I prefer the option to view the caller and ignore it if it's not a priority). When I receive a call with the phone locked, I have to wait a few seconds after flipping the phone open before pressing the "answer" key; if I answer too soon after flipping it open, the phone tends to lock up for about 30 seconds, which obviously kills the call.

SOURCE: 1996 Explorer anti-theft system won't disable

Try re-setting the computer...Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and leave off for 5-10 minutes. This will allow the computer to reset. The charger may have interupted the signal or something.

How can I disable the seat belt sensor because it continues to beep even if we are all buckled.

I wouldn't disable the sensor but are you sure it is a seat belt sensor dinging at you and not a door sensor? They both sound the same. With all the doors closed but the key in the ignition. If the warning ding starts then your problem is a door sensor, a common issue in that model and usually related to the side door.

How do i disable the security alarm?

Serouly. If it's the same as my '05 Stratus R/T then look at where the doors shuts on the interior trim and look for a activator that stays closed when you shut the door. open it and unplug it. There you go. No more alarm set off when you open your door.

My alarm remote won't work. How do I disable the alarm on the 1998 SL2?

It seems you have an aftermarket alarm on your saturn. If you look under the driver side dash (which is the most common place) that the switches are installed there will be two switches one is a toggle/flip switch and the other is a type you push it is usually black. If you locate the toggle switch it will have two or three positions centeis usually vallet mode and all the way over is programming mode. If you flip it to the middle it will bypass the alarm once you alarm is reset(when it quits sounding). You can just close the doors and wait or either fin d the push switch and hold in while turning the key on. Next time you enter the car you wont have to worry about it going off. Thank You Please rate my answer after you make sure this solves your problem .

Passenger side air bag disable

The disable switch is usually key operated and located on the dash. As far as I know you cannot disable this option. Sorry looks like the kids have to stay in the back till they are big enough!
