Left Rear Door Lock makes a loud clicking grinding noise when I lock or unlock the truck, but the lock works and sometimes it takes a couple of clicks to lock or unlock the truck. Employees at Auto Part stores said it had to be the "Door Lock Actuator". So I purchased a "DORMAN" name brand Door Lock Actuator (746-017), but is this the true and honest problem?

Sound like the door actuators are bad if you take it somewhere take it to a dealer auto body shop Its Cheaper

we have a 08 1500 crewcab chevy that all the power door locks worked excepted the drivers door. We started to look at that door power lock actuater and now the passenger power door lock does not work. Could the trouble be something other than actuaters?
That sounds to me like a shaft that connects to it is out of balance. Therefore the seals are getting worn out too soon.
