Question about 1988 Mazda B2200

1 Answer

1990 Mazda B2200 PU. Clutch sticks to the floor and if held down eventually allows disk to engage. Can pull it up with side of foot before tries to engage, then works again. No noise from throw-out or clutch disk. Bled the slave cyclinder. Still sticks. I'm thinking the clutch slave cylinder may be bad. Cannot find a leak at upper end in hoses or Clutch master cylinder. However when first had problem did have loss of fluid in cylinder from Max to Min level.

My clutch is sticking to the floor, but there is plenty of fluid and there does not appear to be a leak

you may need the clutch replaced if the clutch slave cylinder and master is working.

The clutch pedal sticks down when trying to engage

YOU DO NEED A NEW DISC AND MOST LIKELY A MASTER AND SLAVE HYDRAULIC CLUTCH CYLINDERS, THE STICKING MAY BE DUE TO OVER TRAVEL DUE TO THE WORN OUT DISK.

1990 mazda b2200. brake pedal went to the floor and the emergency brake light and anti lock light came on. Not losing any brake fluid from the resevoir.

this is an internal issue and the master will need to be replaced. system should be flushed while your at it and bled properly.

Your Friction disk (clutch) is worn out. Have it replaced....might also need pressure plate, but not necessarily.

Is it standard shift??? if so, look under the truck and see if the drive shaft is turning. It could be the clutch, U-joint, or the rearend gone out.

Clutch pedal suddenly goes to the floor, no longer [dis]engaging the clutch

I found that having a wood stick on the clutch pedal down to the floor all night (the other end of the stick held by the seat. oh yeah !!! ) would help to ease shifting for the first hour the next morning, then it would come back stiff and hard to engage in gear.
