All power windows stopped working

All the windows on my 2002 explorer stopped working. None of the controls on any window work. They all quit at the same time, so I thought it was a fuse. The manual lists all the fuses and what they do except for the window fuse. There is no mention of a window fuse so I'm lost. What else could cause this? Thank you.

Also you need to check fuse box under the driver side dash. Fuse #17 is a 15A mini fuse (blade type) that controls the radio, dome light, and all of the power windows.

All 4 of my power windows stopped working, and i can't find anything about a power window fuse in my manual

Power window usually don't have a fuse but an automatically resetting breaker. If all four windows stopped working at the same time check the body control module that is what manages the power windows. Good luck.

All windows stopped what does that

If none of the windows work - i.e. none of the windows will go up or down from any switch in the vehicle - what I would look for is a break in the Light Blue and Black wire that goes through the umbilical from the body to the drivers door. All of the windows are powered by this wire and it is common for wires to break inside the umbilical due to flexing back and forth every time the driver's door is opened and closed.

2002 explorer window not working

To properly answer your question I would need to know if you're Ford Explorer is an early build or a late build. Early builds use a GEM Controlled System and the late builds use a ICM Controlled System to operate the power windows. Here is a link to how your power windowsoperate on your vehicle.

How do I fix the problem of all 4 power windows

See if you have power coming out of the master power window switch when a button is pushed down. Remove a door panel and check for power at the window motor with the switch pushed. If you do not have power it could be the master switch. Good luck.
