I drove my 1995 volvo wagon through a flooded road. Immerdatelity after that it began to sputter and skip. It acts like it not getting gas and it wont go over about 40-45mph. I got a blow dryer and dried in the air filter and on the distibutor area and I let it sit for 2days. But that didnt work instead when I drove it, it seemed worse and i smelled something funny like wires burning or fumes or something, but I did not see any smoke. The car will run idle but it has cyles of running well and then sputtering and skipping really hard. When you change the gears or stop the car it acts like its not getting any gas so you have to give it a little gas to keep it from shutting off.I only drove it about 40miles total after going though the water, but its not safe to drive so I just parked it. Any clues as to what it could be?
It is a problem w/ignition wires put a NEW not used set of wires and it should run fine even after you dry old wires the problem that you have will not go away had the same problem with 850 turbo NEW IGNITION WIRES should solve your problem
