I recently replaced injectors on a hilux 2KD FTV engine,2007.I understand i need to enter the code appearing on the new units to the ECM.I,ve tried to do so but the error code P1601 EEPROM still appears on the diagnostic tool and so does the amber 'engine fault' illumination on the dashboard in spite of the ECM indicatin it has registered the new units.I've tried to reset the system to no avail.Any help?

When an injector is replaced, the injector's compensation code must be input into the ECM. When the ECM is replaced, all of the existing injector compensation codes must be input into the new ECM.
Injector compensation codes are unique, 30-digit, alphanumeric values printed on the head portion of each injector. If an incorrect injector compensation code is input into the ECM, the engine may rattle or engine idling may become rough.
In addition, engine failure may occur and the life of the engine may be shortened. Good Luck.

ECM need actual dimention of injector for grate accuracy fuel quntiti.Manufacture make a cod for each injector it say injector diamenton.Accoding to code ECM get know about injector.So when replace injector we shoud enter new injectors code.UR code=EEPRPOM Error-Injector Correction Value,

Hilux 2KD FTV , P1601 MEANS:

Type Powertrain - Manufacturer Controlled DTC - Manufacturer Controlled Description ECM Overtemperature
Cause Engine running, then the PCM detected an internal temperature of over 221F or an internal temperature of -58F or over 284F.
SO, it is a PCM error, tep is too high normally, or you can ask the 24 hrs live technical support vas5054a, they will like to help you, good luck
