If you're not getting power to anything when this happens then I would tend to think is a main connection of some sort.
Check the battery connections, ground cables etc. Where ever the main cables connect at the battery, starter, and various connections. There are also more than likely 'body ground' straps or cables also. Check to see if all are clean of any rust or corrosion and are tight.
Though not as likely, it MAY possibly be a battery which is loosing connection internally.
I wouldn't recommend going out and buying a battery though. I would simply check the connections as suggested and go from there.
Hope this helps.

you need to find the fuel pressure release around the fuel rail press the little tab when the car dies. If there is no fuel coming out from that point, your fuel pump is going.

If vehicle was left outside or in an unheated garage, there is a strong possibility that condensation has contaminated your fuel. Easiest way to check is to remove fuel filter and pour contents into a glass jar. If you see two different layers of liquid in the jar, the bottom part is water. Replace with new filter and drop the tank. Remove sending unit. pour contents into a large container and clean out inside with clean dry rags. Remember, fuel is dangerous to work with and fumes travel pretty far on the ground. So, no open flames electrical stuff, cigarettes etc for a good perimeter around work area. Generally, you can re-use top 3/4 of fuel you removed by syphon. Don't use remainder in your vehicle. Part can be used for lawnmower etc as long as you only take the part above the water line.

Hey first thing you want to do is make sure its getting fuel .. Try shooting a little gas into the air cleaner and crank it and see if it starts .. if it does your fuel pump might be the problem .. or use a little either instead of gas either will let you know if its a fuel problem .. sounds like to me that might be what it is. holler if you need more and thanks Jerry
