The starter relay(s) on the Tercel are under the dash on the passenger side; easily accessed by removing the kick panel and the glove box and panel as an assembly; panel held in place by 4 ten mm screws. Some models have only one starter relay and some have 2.

If you have 2 they are on the same bracket, are identical part numbers and are both labeled Toyota starter relay; they are light green from the factory.

My fuel pump isn't getting power in my toyota tericel 1993

It could be the fuse for the fuel pump circuit or it could be the relay. Both cheap and easy fixes.

My 1993 Toyota Tercel does not start when key is turned. New battery, all fuses checked and fine. When the doors get opened, hazard lights start blinking for 15 blinks, then pause, then 15 blinks. This...

This sounds like a starter disable feature of a car alarm. Somewhere under the dash you are going to find a box with the start wires running to it. The start wire is black with a white stripe and is thick, about a 12 gauge wire. It will come from the ignition switch and run into a relay or box. It could be installed anywhere as it is aftermarket. Once you find it, you can reconnect both ends of the starter wire and you can start it with the key. I would disconnect the power to the alarm or your lights are going to flash at random. The factory alarm (just in case it is the issue, but that isn't likely) is located behind the radio and ashtray.

Installed used engine in 1993 tercel and it has no fuel coming to the efi. Ideas? When I squirt gas in the manifold it runs, could it be bad relay,

check power to the fuel pump in the tank, but first check the fuses for the fuel pump and usually there is a relay. have to ensure that it is closing. if it is possible swap the relay with another one that is working from another accessory like a/c comp etc.. hope this helps

Location of starter relay

The starter relays on most of your Toyota trucks are located either in the relay block in the engine compartment or on the driver's side junction block. The cover for the relay compartments should be marked, "starter'' or the relay will have a part number with a suffix of 28300-XXXXX. Simply locate the relay, pull it out, and install a new one if needed.

I hope helps with this (remember rated this help) Good luck.

What kind of starter does a 1993 Toyota Tercel 1.5 engine take

That is a problem with some vehicle parts, and about the only way to know for sure is to look for a part # or name on the starter itself, otherwise you have to hope they stock the one you need. Yes I see one is direct drive, and the other is gear reduction. May I suggest, if you can't take it off & get in for another, try to get a clear digital camera picture of it, print it off & take it to parts store for them to compare to the picture they have.
