SOURCE: my tape cassete keeps opening and closing while

The switch inside the tape player needs to be cleaned or replaced. The dealers send out all radois to a repair shop that is an authorized repair facility to perform this type of work. Shop mechanics do not repair radios or tape decks at any dealer I know of. It may be far less to replace your ciurrent unit with an aftermarket one unless you want to keep your factory unit instead. Many top shelf radios are out there and most can be found at stores like Best Buy and even Car Max these days

SOURCE: I have a cd jammed in the player and it keeps

The cd unit has to be disconnected and removed to get the cd out, to disconnect, reach under the dash under the cd unit, find the harness connector that plugs into it, unplug it by pressing the latch and pulling out uniformly, that'll keep your battery from draining for now until you get the cd jam fixed.

Why does my hhr radio try to load and eject a cd disc when there isn't one inserted

There is an arm in/on the left side of the disc player. Most likely the spring inside it is broken. Leaving the arm in the pushed back position. Some times kids put coins in there also. This will cause things to happen, to include killing the radio and/or cd player.

My car battery keeps dying because of my tape casset player in my 1997 infiniti J30, how do i fix this?

Why do you think this is due to your cassette player? Is it not powering off when you shut down the car? If so, try removing the fuse to the radio until you can get a replacement.

2000 Buick Century. Put in a replacement radio/cd/casset player. Radio works, clock works, but CD and casset do not. The message comes up E 13. What does this e code mean?

if its a radio shack radio, it means E13 means "Tape Communication Error". It is caused by the
microprocessor reading speed pulses from the tape deck either too fast, most other makes mean about the same thing, normally a stuck tape will cause this code to show up, either that or the drive gear that loads and unloads the tape is broken, cracked, or jammed

I have a brand new tape adapter (for my iPod) that was working for weeks, but after I ejected it, it just keeps ejecting itself right when I try to put it back in. It will play just a tiny bit of the...

You might try flipping the adapter over the other way. If that doesn't work, you might want to try putting a cleaning tape in and clean the cassette heads. The tape player will sometimes eject a tape if it cannot read it very well. It assumes that the tape is damaged. Dirt on your heads can cause it to eject your adapter because it is having trouble reading the signal from the adapter.

No, replacing the battery is not your problem. Must be pure coincidence..
Tape is ejecting because the deck is faulty. Either a broken belt or a broken plastic gear assembly. CD players in this model were made by SONY and are troublesome. Rather than trying to get someone to fix it, go to your local salvage yard and see what they have. They are for sale on ebay also. They are basically "throw-away" units as SONY struck a deal with GM and GM can't supply replacement parts. PLUS... there aren't too mnay shops around that fix these units.

My 1995 bmw 318i won't eject a tape and the tape keeps changing from side 1 to side 2 and won't stop. I don't have any music in my car now since the only way to change it to radio is to eject the tape

Just a thought. try pushing the eject button holding it down & with a small pair of pliers carefully lift the tape & pull it out. Tape player heads could be dirty, eject button sticking or faulty or the player is done its time. Good luck
