Volvo s40 1998 bulb warning light on, what does this mean

    1.I have the same problem. The bulb warning light does not goes off even after engine starts. It rather blinks pressing the brake pedal and releasing it. What does this mean ? Any Remedy.
    2. My volvo 1998 S40 1.9TDI losses power on gear change ?
    Any body could suggest the remedy? I shall be grateful...

If by that you mean:

"warning light goes on when I start the motor, and goes off after first time I use the brake pedal"

, don't worry, it's normal, it's how it work. If it stays on even after the use of brakes, you have a bad bulb on brake tail lamps

Apparently the lit lamda warning light means there is a problem with the emissions system, indicating that the engine management system is no longer able to control the fuel mixture. It means you need to take your Volvo in for service.

What does it mean when all the lights on the dash board is on?
It generally means you broke you alternator belt.
The alternator is used to turn off the diagnostic mode to show if any main warning light bulbs are burned out. So if the alternator were to stop functioning, they all go on as if you had not started the car, but just turned the ignition, to this diagnostic mode.

It is the orange engine management warning light. It means that there is a problem, fault or parts that requires cleaning somewhere in your engine or parts that are connected to it.

Dont know meaning of warning lights bulb with thermoter,box with fan above waves
