in 1998 we have 1.6L and 1.8L as an option and both use different setup. so post country and engine displacement. ?
on the 1.6L there these belts.

Take the car to an autoparts store and have them scan the computer for fault codes. Most parts stores will do the scan for free. The check engine light is to alert you that the computer has identified a fault in one of the car's systems. Getting the codes will show what the computer noted, so a problem/potential problem can be addressed. Hope this helped and best wishes.

For tropical countries, motor oils with SAE 20W50 viscosity is commonly used. For cold countries, SAE 10W30 viscosity oils are used. You may also use oil of SAE 15W40.

I don't have an answer for you but maybe a solution. Other than having a shop manual you could try the library. In most cities there is a service that is free at the library. It's called "Alldata" and it is the same system that shops pay to subscribe to. It will tell you in detail how to get the pump out and back in.
