95 Eagle Talon "Power Surges" When Running

I have a 1995 Eagle Talon that "power surges" when driving. What I mean is that it kinda lurches forward faster and then slows down a bit then does it again for a while it goes away and then comes back. Not a huge lurch but enough to notice it. It also dies after being run for a while and then won't start for about 30 minutes or so, which I heard was the fuel pump or filter but was wondering if this is related or if it is a totally different problem?

Its related.. its a problem somewhere in the fuel intake system. you should have this checked out. If there isnt any loss of power but just dies and reves at the same engine speed ,, have your transmission or torque converter looked at.

Eagle talon manual transmission lurching

Sounds like a bad ignition switch. The age of your vehicle warrants changing the switch.

MY 95 EAGLE TALON was running good and now the RPM going high to 4500 on 45 MPH then i turn it off and run good but then start doing the same RPM high ,what could be the problem?

If it's manual it could be clutch slipping but if it's auto then could be a cellenoid that's sticking check trans fluid for dirtiness

A house looking warning light

what does the light look like?
is it a picture of some thing?
where is the light located? (dash roof, somewhere else)
a light normally indicated something needs attention, the picture that lights uo will let you know what it is.
if everything lights up it is normal when the key is turned on but the car is not running.
if there are a lot of lights on and the motor is running , the fan belt might be off, . it is important to understand what needs attention before attempting to drive it.
Hope this helps

95 geo tracker runs fine but bucks or surges at 25/30 mph slow cruise accelerates like rocket.

8valve or 16v valves, big diff !

bucks, needs a tune up.
surges are too lean .
for surge check fuel pressure.

i think you mean Wide Open throttle has full power
right.?

if yes , the fuel pressure is ok
and the MAF is bad on a 16v
or you have an air leak.

tell more , get more.

Lurching

OK, I know this will sound Dumb But, Try it, It should work. It sounds like the Seal on your Gas cap is Allowing a Small amount of Air to Seap into the Fuel tank. Get a New Gas Cap and see if it does not Remedy this Situation.
