1987 toyota pickup with 22r keeps blowing head gasket

Your head bolts are stretched, when it got hot it weakened the metal in the bolts which means that the bolts cannot hold the needed tension on the head. Replace the bolts and you will stop blowing head gaskets. Also use Genuine Toyota head gasket, It will be a bit dearer but they are much better than aftermarket options.

1991 toyota pickup, overheating problem, there is water that I know getting into the oil. I just bought a new head and gasket plus the timing cover gasket as well. ran it today and still blowing water in...

Coolant or water in the oil can be from a head gasket leak, but it can also be an intake manifold gasket or a crack in the block or head etc. I would begin by removing the spark-plugs and then pressurizing the cooling system and checking each cylinder for signs of coolant entering them. If the cylinders stay dry and coolant goes into the oil during the test you most likely have an intake gasket that's leaking. Don't run thee engine with coolant in the oil or you'll have catastrophic damage!

I have a 1994 toyota pickup there is a gunk substance in the radiator and it appears the oil cap is contaminated the water pump is circulating but the gunk is in the cooling system could this be a head...

The best way to test a head gasket at no cost is to run the motor hot, then one by one remove the spark plugs and quickly put a mirror over the spark plug hole for approx 3/5 seconds. then quickly turn the mirror around, if you find the mirror is steamed up you not only know the head gasket is blown but you also know on which cylinder.

It is important to test each cylinder one at a time so that the steam doesnt escape the other cylinders through the open spark plug holes whilst you are testing the first few.

I hope this gives you some direction of where to start.

I have a 1987 toyota pickup 22r carburetor i replaced the head gasket 2000 miles ago and now it blew again i had the head milled and new head bolts and i used a felpro head gasket what do i do now?

The 22R engine is one of the best engines Toyota built.

With the head off, you should have had the head gasket surface machined and the head checked pressure checked for cracks. It seems you did so.

I can only assume, you MAY have put the bolts back in without bowing out the cylinder block bolt holes before installing the bolts. These bolt holes fill with oil and antifreeze when you remove the head.

Doesn't matter how careful you are, the bolt holes always fill with fluid.

If so, the bolt torque would be reached before full clamping of the cylinder head. Worst of all, the block could have been cracked by the hydraulic pressure in the bolt hole as you tightened the bolt.

Why my car toyota hilux 2l is overheating

it could be the ff.
1. radiator is clogged
2. no coolant
3. cooling fan is not working fine
4. thermostat valve is stuck up
5. water pump is damaged
6. radiator cap is broken
7. coolant is leaking somewhere
8. the worst is broken cylinder head gasket but broken head gasket always leaves a trace like water is draining w/o a drip or oil is mixing up with your coolant inside reservoir. try eliminating the easy things before deciding to have the cylinder head removed.

What tool would i need to remove cylinder head bolts on a 93 ford escort gt

Hi
A cylinder head removal tool is provided for removing the cylinder head from the engine block of an engine. The tool comprises an elongated bar made of tool steel with means for bolting the bar to the cylinder head and for mounting pusher bolts which can be tightened down onto exposed threaded ends of frozen studs holding the cylinder head. As the bolts are tightened down onto the studs the cylinder head is gradually lifted upward free from the studs.
