I have a 04 MC and the only way i know of turning it off is through the radio.. i havent been able to turn mine off since i got a new cd player though. And i dont quite remember how to do it on the stock radio.. but dont go buy anything new nothing is wrong!

Sounds like your Oil Sending Unit is faulty. Try replacing it. Quick and inexpensive fix. I hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

Sounds like you need to replace thermostat assy and add new antifreeze and as far as your oil gauge, replace the "oil pressure sending unit". That should solve your problem

2001 monte carlo keeps saying change oil after i changed it already

Reset oil change light. some GM cars and trucks switch on ignition, do not start engine press gas peddle to the floor then release and switch ignition off. This procedure is in the owners manual.

Car is a 2004 Monte Carlo SS Supercharged. My check engine light will come on for about a day and then go out for two or three days, and then back on. It stays on steady and does not blink. All gauges...

I have a monte carlo 04 and i'm trying to turn off the change engine oil light

there is a button to reset the oil light, check your car manual ,it should be there, when you find this button, all you have to do is hold down for 5 seconds,thats it ,plus YOU MIGHT LOW ON ENGINE OIL,CHECK YOUR ENGINE NOW!!!!!!!!!!

2004 monte carlo, engine light on and engine stumbles and a backfiring/popping noise from upper intake manifold.

Not Good! Probably upper engine damage Intake or exhaust valve, possibly camshaft,Check the spark plug or wire condition.

I have a 2004 chevy monte carlo. I changed the oil, but do not know how to reset the'change oil" light on the dash

turn the key to the ON position without starting it. within 5 seconds push the gas pedal to the floor 3 times.
