Question about 2001 BMW 325

Dead battery and dead key. cant get in trunk to jump car

I am new and have a big problem and can't find the answer anywhere. My 2001 325Ci has a dead battery and dead key. I cannot poop the trunk to jump the car. Any suggestions on how I can get in the trunk to where the battery is? Thanks

    when you say trunk is that the bonnet or the boot. im english sorry, but if you can get the engine comp open there is a battery post under there to connect jump leads to. wich will supply the battery in the boot/trunk

Pop open the hood (bonnet) on the left isde of the firewall there is a red/black battery connection so you can jump start the car without getting to the battery.

So you have no other option but to jump start the car, by finding power cables in engine bay or pribe open the trunk with a crow bar, or have i towed to a auto shop so a professionel locksmith can open the trunk for you.

Dead battery cant get in the car to jump start. need to know wheres the battery port by the engine
try putting 12v to starter or altanater that will work big red wire leading

you should be able to pull down back seat to get in the truck,and once inside there should be a visible pull cord to open trunk.

Well, the first answer is right but doesn't solve the problem and the second answer is wrong as the battery is in the trunk.

Just had the exact same problem. Battery dead on 2005 ion due to head lights left on which causes the key to stick in ignition.

Could not get to the battery in trunk because key stuck and power trunk switch also dead (no battery power, catch 22).

Solution: I hooked up a battery charger to the positive terminal under the hood by the fuse box and the negative to the engine block and charged it for 20 minutes. You could also jump it using the same terminals.

Hi, you can go threw your fender wall by taking a few screws off and removing it. your batt should be sitting on top of your right side fender wall. you can run cables to the batt this way to charge it. you will have to remove the tire to access the fonder wall.

jump start the car or charge the battery from under the bonnet(hood) ,look for a plastic cover on the firewall with a big + on it negative is the engine
