Trunk will not open on my 94 oldsmobile achieva

Might try some graphite lock lube in the keyhole.

Try disconnecting the button. When my brother in law owned mine the same thing happened so he detached the button and it just opens with the key now but it opens.

the cable release won't work if the trunk kew was in lock horizontal position. It needs to be vertical when key is removed. More penetrating fluid and try to force key rocking back and forth in and out. Use lots of wd40 or penetrating fluids and repeat. This will work. Also make sure you are using a master key only. Black top.

Do the rear seats fold down? If so, crawl in there may be a lever/latch to open the trunk from inside.

Take the car to a locksmith and they can fix the lock.

light goes on but doesn't blink is typical of a bad flasher unit. Flasher units usualy have two wire connections. Flashers can be round or square. Try replacing flasher with another known working flasher unit.

the key assembly needs replaced but CAUTION if you try to do this your self your antitheft system runs on the ignition and if you dont dissable it first you will go into theift mode and everything will be shut down. best to take to deal as thya have the comp and special tools you will need to do this.

SPRAY WD40 IN KEYHOLE TRY ANOTHER KEY.PRESS ON TRUNK WITH HAND WHILE TRYING TURN TRUNK KEY.IN KEYHOLE.ONCE YOU GET TRUNK OPEN YOU NEED NEW TRUNK KEY LOCK CYLINDER.

find the cable and use what ever you can to pull it vice grip or if the back seat folds down do so climb in and use a scew driver in the slot where the latch is

Spray silicon lubricant into the keyhole.

Replace the lock cylinder.

Try spraying some wd40 in the keyhole, and then working the key back and forth. Don't break your key!
