Probably have to have it repaired/replaced, unless the linkage/hydraulics have a problem.

Start putting the longer bolts in any hole when you see a bolt sticking out a lot further then the others that is where a shorter bolt will go. It will be easy to see the differance.

I would change the belt and do a compression check before starting the engine. That will show any distorted valves.

check 02 sensor i had mine knocked loose when i took it for an oil change it happend twice in fact.

Unhook the battery for about ten minutes ... that should reset the light... if it comes back on have the codes scanned (autozone is free).
