1995 Audi 90: No heat!

The temperature gage in my audi just recently started blinking a whole bunch and my heat doesn't work.. at all. Normally, when this light goes on, I'm due for an oil change but I'm not sure if the heat not working and oil change connect. Do I just need an oil change? Or is this a completely other problem? Thank you!

I had that same problem on a 1990 audi 90.

Turns out the radiator was leaking, so the coolant kept running out causing the temp light to go on. as a temporary fix, you can keep topping up the coolant, but otherwise you are going to need to get that radiator fixed. by the way, audi 90s have TWO radiators; in my case it was the smaller radiator that had gone.

new radiator later, and it was fixed. unfortunatley, my temp gauge has never work...

I have an Audi 90 1995. There is an oil leak behind the water/oil heat exchanger. I put in a new gasket but still a slight leak. What's the fix? Thanks.

basically check the surfaces are flat...pull the heat exchanger off and run a metal ruler or square across them, if there out gently run a flat file over them, if not put some silicone based chemical gasket around there and should take it up, good luck :)

Why does my temperature light keep coming on and off and my fan keep coming on

Could very well be from over heating, or maybe a faulty temperature sensor, or thermostat, but the first thing to do is check radiator and coolant return bottle levels to make sure your not just low on coolant. Let me know what you find out after you check that. Note: remove cap(s) when engine has cooled down to avoid scalding. Then start engine, turn heater on, and add as needed. Is your heater working ok, as in putting out lots of heat?
