I have error code 91 on my car ECU on Mitsubishi Space Wagon 99 2.4 GDI (4G64) 4x4 - bad acceleration sometimes, on the road - the lamp (engine) is start working and engine is going to service mode But after restarting everything is OK until the next time. The problem is begin when the engine is under pressure (4-5 passenger + bags). Sometimes bad power sometimes everything is OK. I was 5 times on the service and nothing - nobody knows where exactly is the problem and I don't want to replace all the parts of my car. Please Help me!

i don't understand the error code 91 but i may have the similar problem with my Space Wagon 2.4 GDI 1998.
The engine look like lost the power and the accelerator didn't work. i was thinking the ecu is the trouble maker. i have try change my spark plug, change the fuel pump, remove the catalytic converter but no result.
I recently had to replace the 'Throttle Body' on 2.4 GDI Space Wagon, acceleration would fail intermittently then eventually it wouldn't start. Cost £600.00 as a refurbished part from specialist supplier (fault was identified by a Mitsubishi dealer using diagnostic check - their new replacement Throttle Body was approx £1500.00 - hopefully this won't be your engine problem! Unfortunately, I didn't get visibility of the error code number on the diagnostic check.....good luck
My spacewagon (2000 series) has the same problem. the mechanic found the problem and get one of the parts (some oil filter which got burnt out). But the problem came back again after a year or less. I am not sure if this is due to engine overheating or what. But, believe me, I am not going to buy any Mitsubishi again in my life. O yeah, another problem, I always need to refill the engine lubricant. I like the power and movement stability of this car, but it pisses me on the maintenance part. I owned a Nissan Sentra, and I miss it now.
