There are many different way. Have you tried to google your question? When I did there were a few different ways to go about it. The ones from ksj83 and willy2mil are two of the ways to do so.

I dont know how else to do it other than with a diagnostic tester. i think that may be the only way.

To reset check engine light... Disconnect the ground (black wire) from the battery. Wait for at least a minute for the computer to reset, then reconnect the ground. Start your car, and the light should not come back on.

Reset engine warning light
To reset the Engine Light, you'll need a OBD II scanner. It cost about $100.

Or, you can go to you local auto-parts store. Most stores will turn the Engine Light off for you for free using their scanner.

that is your check engine light. you need to take it in and get the codes checked to find out whats wrong. could be as simple as a loose gas cap.
