1999 honda crv- clock stopped working. It's mounted inside the dash- do I have to take the whole dash off? Is there a battery? Electrical cable?

You do not have to take out the whole dash. Using a very small screwdriver you can pry out only the panel that has the clock and center vents in it. You will then need to remove a couple of wires and a few small bolts to get the clock out. It should take less than 10 minutes. While I have yet to send my clock out, there is a guy on E-Bay Motors who will repair your clock for under $25.00 including shipping. The dealer wants about $200.00 for the clock. When I have time, I intend to check out the guy on E-Bay.

My clock used to work intermittently, but now it's forever off. I'd like to try the fix myself but I don't want to damage the dashboard or have to take the whole thing apart.

if you get the clock out and are handy with a solder iron, just resolder pins on the interior chips. I have fixed 2 clocks (1998 and 1999) this way.

If you get the clock out and handy with a solder iron, just remove the open up the clock (careful not to break plastic snaps). there is a circuit board inside with couple of chips, diodes, resistors, etc. Just resolder these, bet it works. you can test by plugging in and turning ignition switch before putting everthing back together. I had fixed 2 car clocks like this for no cost but a little solder wire.

1999 Honda CRV Wont Start. It turns over just fine but won't "catch". I put my key in the dash board maintenance schedule whole and it started...worked fine for a week. Now won't start again. ...

I am having the same problem as you wish new what it is.
My wife lost her keys, we tried starting car with the spare key but it winds over but won't start. Found the keys an hr later tried the old keys and it started. Maybe some problem with the keys and the ignition.

My electronic clock honda crv 2001 dont work

I've seen the clock assemblies go bad on these models. Sometimes one or more of the digital segments will go out not displaying the time correctly or the whole display goes blank. There are two fuses in the clock circuit. Quick check: If your gauges on your dash work and your radio is working, your fuses are good. It also shares a ground with allot of other components. if you don't have any other electrical issues, your ground is also good. The clock will have to be replaced, unfortunately they are quite expensive and they're only available through Honda. -hope this helps.

How do you remove the clock in a 1991 honda accord?

For dashboard mount:
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Carefully pull the clock bezel from the dash.
Remove the screws securing the clock to the dash.
Pull the clock out slightly and unplug the electrical connector.
Installation is reverse of removal.

For console mount:
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the rear console.
Remove the screws securing the front console cover and pull the assembly out slightly.
Unplug the electrical connectors on the back of the panel.
Remove the screws securing the clock (they come in from the back of the panel), then remove it from the panel.
Installation is reverse of removal.

Hope this helps you.

Clock does not work. crv 1998

If it is not the fuse then it is most likely an internal issue with the clock itself. These clocks (and many other models) commonly burn out internally. I offer a very cost effective repair solution. Check it out!

CLOCK

common problem with these clocks. you must replace the clock. my 98 crv does the same thing. i havent taken the clock apart yet but i think its a bad connection on the clock circut board. they share the fuse with the radio and or acc plug. i think they are around $225?
