does not matter all , just new wires.
replace them 1 by 1 ,never more at once.

well, put the engine crank pulley at #1 firing
on compression stoke, not exhaust stroke, valves both CLOSED
and BINGO rotor points to #1 wire.
then rotor direction
and last lay the wires back down. (rotor must be at #1)
if confused by TDC learn there are 2 on clinder 1.
end of compression stroke
end of exhaust stroke (4 cycle engine it is)
next time mark #1 before pulling wires,
mark cap #1
do not unclamp the DIZZY base bolt or lose timing.
now the trick for true TDC 0degree mark.
there are many
- valve cover left off both valves closed ,bingo
- use compression gauge to find TDC<PSI high bingo
- PSI 0 not
- or the thumb pushing over spark hole #1
- feel no pressure crank pulley turned CW fail
- feel pressure now? bingo TDC about to happen
- next time learn how to do it right. not be stuck in TDC H3LL. (not me have all the tools to find it)
engine turn over ok but won't start, seems to be not firing
