Hyundai Accent SI-back windscreen wiper

Help!!! Just bought my second hand Hyundai Accent and I know Im probably having a senior moment but I can't work out how to get the back windscreen wiper working. Front one fine but moved it up, down, forwards, back and nothing-what do I do? And it's just started to rain! (Also I don't understand the whole year/reg malarkey so while it says my car was 1st registered in 2001 there doesn't seem to be a Hyundai Accent 2001. The reg starts with DE51 if thats any help).

The rear wiper wasn't working on my '05 Accent and it turned out that the nut was just loose on the wiper arm. One thing to note is that the "stop" position is up, not down (not horizontal to the ground) like you would think, see the picture:

Rear Windscreen wiper not working Seat Ibiza 2003

smonahan, The rear wiper fuse is actually a circuit breaker. It will reset itself.
Your wiper arm has probably stripped were it attaches to the motor shaft. You can check by trying to move the wiper arm with your hand, if it moves back and forth, its stripped. A new wiper arm will be needed.
Try it and let me know.

Trying to change windshield wiper motor

If you take off the wiper blades, then remove the plastic covering under the windscreen, the motor is underneath it. All it will be is two maybe three bolts and an electrical connector.

Wiper won't work

Probable cause: Wiper fuse (No.: 7, 8) blown. If not check for wiper switch faulty, loosen wiring, or ground faulty.
