I do not have an owners manual. As I look under the hood, it appears I need to dis assemble the entire head light to get at the opening for a turn signal lamp that is burnt out. Is there another way?

I had this same problem a couple of years ago, $2000 dollars later my ex in-law spend at the dealer and the problem still existed, (they replaced the ignition switch, the entire fuse block assembly, battery, alternator and a couple of other things ). I bought a new turn signal switch for under $100 and never had the problem since...
If the buttons light up when you turn them on then the fuse is good. What usually happens is the element of the heater part burns or break and the heater will not work. This is a 2 part heater. One for the back and one for the bottom. If one goes neither of them will work. You have to ohm both to see which one is bad and replace it.Usually the bottom because it takes the most abuse. If the light does not come on then check the fuses and check connections under the seat.Good luck.
I had the same problem about a month ago myself. I had to replace a fuse which was under the driver side under the dash it cost me $6 to replace. I cant remember the name of the part but call a auto store and explain to them the problem. I think it was called a relay fuse or something! Good luck with that!
To change front turn signal – open the hood; look in back of headlight; two white clips; pull straight up, and then whole headlight comes out including turn signal; it is all one unit; remove rubber cover, then you take bulb out of unit. Mechanism that bulb fits in will need to be turned clockwise (looking from the front) and pulled to get it out of the larger unit holding all lights. Be sure and put rubber cover back on before re-inserting the two white clips.
There are 2 white plastic clips about an inch wide to the rear of the gray headlight assembly. Pull them up and you can slide your headlight assembly forward to change the bulb. It's quite easy to do.
i was told my flasher was out
