Is it a 1.8 turbo or 2.8 V6 or 2.7 biturbo V6 ? on most models what you will be looking for is a 3 letter code like ATQ or APW and is normally on a sticker on the timing belt cover, it is also stamped into the engine on a ledge up high. if no luck there check the owners manual, around the 3rd page there will be a sticker that was put in the book during predelivery inspection this sticker is about 3 inches by 3 inches and filled with id codes for almost everything. If the pdi wasn't done right another copy of the same sticker will be under or next to the spare tire in the spare tire well.

The number is also in the boot on a sticker.under the boot mat.thats where it is on the a6 tdi's.

It will be on his V5 registration certificate below chassis number.
Also
Its under the inlet manifold on a casting. AEB ***** etc


Also the sticker in front page of handbook and sticker under boot carpet

engine number is different coming 7 dig.engine code 3 or 4 characters and fuse for diagnouse when use VAS it meen different parts use together and coordinated by ECU . tow engine same but diffrent code meens some part use are different . engine number is definition for this engine with chassis number you can find it one label on timing belt cover , and in between cylinder bolck and cylinder head there is square stamped number at exhaust side

Speed sensor as in transmission like VSS Audi doesnt use on or RPM sensor as in the engine, Or wheel sensor for ABS Audi does use it is it for transmission or engine of wheel speed for ABS

2002 audi a4 quattro... a yellow warning light came on the in-dash computer and the clown who sold the car to me didn't include owners manual... any clue what the warning light is and how can i see the...
You have to find someone who can hook up a diagnostic computer to your system. The code should tell them what system is giving you the problem, then you have to narrow it down from there. I have a mechanic friend who does this for me so I have a clue of the problem before I go to my Audi dealer. The engine warning light could be any number of things.

Where is air filter in audi a4 52 plate
Part number: 4B0819439C.
Filter element (dust and polen filter) with odor and harmful substances filltration. Placed on the right side of the car, (engine bonnet raised), under cover plate for water box (also for battery box), and under water deflector at the bottom of the windshield - right side for Left Hand Steering wheel.
!!! For Right Hand Steering wheel cars the cabin air filter is placed on the left side !!!

THOSE NUMBERS ARE VERY GOOD, THE PROBLEM MOST LIKELY IS A DEFECTIVE OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT, HAVE REPLACED 100'S OVER THE YEARS FOR THIS SAME ISSUE, GREAT THAT U CHECKED THE PRESSURE THOUGH, IF THE LIGHT WAS INDICATING ACTUAL LOW PRESS U COULD HAVE WASTED THE BEARINGS IN THE ENGINE.
