Sounds like the blend door is stuck at the heater/blower box. check all connections leading to the box behind the glovebox, and behind the control head.

Sounds like a faulty mode door actuator for the a/c in the dash. There are a series of mode doors that controls air temperature and air flow. They are located in the passenger side of the dash. If the temperature mode door isn't closing all the way then when you could still be getting heated air from the heater core when on A/C. The blowing only out of the defrost is a textbook sign of a bad mode door actuator.
there is a cab air filter located under your hood, pass. side under the wiper area, but this should not be the problem if your loosing coolant, check your heater core, if your fan only works on low. check your blower resistor you can pick em up new for around 20 bucks. hope this helps and god bless.
- If temp guage reads normal, the lack of heat may be due to the Heater Control Valve. Located in front of the radiator. Lower passenger side. A real bugger to replace.
- The plastic cap just over the thermostat is key in re-filling the anti freeze and bleeding air.
Hi There,
If the fan blows only cold air, then you might have a restriction on the heater core. The heater core is like a small radiator inside your dash. The coolant flow through it can be restricted by corrosion. The lack of flow of coolant through the heater core will result in a lack of warm air inside the car. Flushing out the heater core may help. If not, you will have to replace it. I would say though, 80% of the time the cause is just restriction. Get the heater core flushed and I am sure you will get your heat back.
