You probably have a vacuum leak on the passenger side. its a small plastic hose some times they come unpluged from the engine. or brake.

Did this problem start after the battery was disconnected?

For the digital system disconnect the battery again for a few minutes, or remove the HVAC fuse for 2 minutes. Reconnect everything with the ignition off. Then turn the key to the RUN position, but don't start the engine. Don't touch the HVAC controls for 2 minutes, and you should hear the actuators and blower motor going through all the modes and speeds. This is recalibration. If you touch the controls during this time it will fail and you will have still air/flow problems.

If this does not solve the problem, you can take the dash apart to observe the mode actuator. It may need to be replaced. You may see it at www.parts4chevys.com or eBay.

had this trouble in a dakota it was a blend door in the heater unit. had to remove entire dash to repair

the blend door actuator located on the air box (right hand side under dash) is prob. inop. worst case senerio the blend door its self is broken. I have replaced the actuator more than anything.

as long as all the fuses are good.. its probably the blower resistor/module... located next to the blower motor under the pass. side of the dash..
