Air conditioner wasn't blowing at full force even though I had it turned up high. My daughter kicked under the passenger side where the blower motor is. In the past, this would help the AC to kick on. I had the car set on cruise control at 70 mph. When the check engine light came on, the RPM's went up and down really fast. I couldn't really hear what the noise sounded like that the car made because of loud children in the car. I pulled the car over and shut it off. The car would turn over but wouldn't restart.

Roll up rear windows. Also, you may have a bad tire. I had the same problem with a different car and the problem was a bad tire that was worn funny. Couldn't tell until the tire was off. The check engine light is programmed to come on every so often so you'll take your car to the dealer and get it looked at, which is how the car companies make their dealers money. Ignore it, mine has been going on and off for years, no problems.

Most Suzukis A/C systems will cut out when the engine tempurature is too high (to reduce the load on the engine). Also, in this condition, when the A/C compressor cuts out, the A/C thermo fan (electric - in front of the condensor) may come on ( to try and cool the engine). Combined with the fact that your temp gage says the engine is hot, I would be checking your cooling system very closely. It could be as simple as leaves blocking the air flow through the radiator (between the condensor and radiator), or as serious as the internal cores of the radiator being blocked (different sorts of coolant being used can sometimes produce solid matter that can do this).
Testimonial: "Great explanation and advice to check the cooling system, specifically the radiator. Unfortunately the internal core of the radiator was blocked."

Your dealership should have seen any underlying codes. Most Cruise controls I've worked on are used on the vehicles vacuum. that is where i would start, because on a grade your engine uses more vacuum pressure thus taking from some where else.
Testimonial: "Thanks, will check the vacuum lines to the cruise control to see if they are ok."
