Keeps air locking and edc light comes on

look om line for instructions for bleeding brakes. Letting the fluid run thru will not displace air resulting soft pedal

Could it be the thermostat?

anti clock brakes either a sensor is faulty or you have air in the lines bad fluid {old} a master brake cylinder or its servo cycliders and or some ec {controller} connection is wrong in a bus i would expect a servo at each drum and a master cylinder does the air come up too speed when the engine starts ie does the pig cylinder charge and when charged bleed its self to regulate the brake preasure i think its a sensor thats bad on one of the brake servos at the hubs ...

There is a prime bubble like a small rugby ball on the fuel line coming from the tank. Prime that slowly a few time's will get the air out. It will now take a lot of cranking the engine to get it going. The high pressure pump needs to build up 200 lbs pressure before the injectors will open. Keep cranking it will start. Your next problem is the engine managment light. This will come on because of the low rail pressure. It won't effect the car running but will need a plug in to remove the fault and put the light out.

replace thermostat.then bleed coolant system, this is how you do it.fill the cooling coolant system with 50 / 50 dexcool and water to raise boiling point,straight water will evaporate boil away cause engine to overheat catch fire thats why you need 50 / 50 mixture antifreeze and water.to bleed coolant system first fill coolant system until coolant stay at the full cold mark on the the coolant overflow jug,then you start engine allow it to idle,place the heater and ac control in any ac setting except max and the temperature control to the highest setting,run engine until lower hose to water pump is hot. with the engine hot run the engine speed up to 3000 rpm and allow it return to idle, repeat this 5 times. slowly open the bleed valve on the thermostat housing or look for bleed valve at the water pump heater hose.open bleed valve for 15 seconds to expel any trapped air.then top off the coolant as necessary,and when top radiator hose hot thermostat open up.keep adding cooling to overflow until coolant level stop at full cold mark dont over fill coolant.if engine seem like overheating while looking at cooling gauge turn off engine wait a while until cool off add more coolant until coolant level stay stable and dont drop any.when open radiator overflow cap use large rag over the radiator cap to keep from getting scald open radiator cap a little at a time but dont open radiator cap until engine cool down first.replace the radiator overflow cap, thermostat,and engine coolant temperature sensor and check the cooling fans fuses and relays see what happens.

you may just have an air lock in the engine water jaket,,bleed it out,, fill rat up,,,find top hose with bleed screw in it run up motor and undo bleed screw till only water comes out,,,keep rad toped up,,,job done?

It could be low on coolant,or air in the cooling system,or the coolant low sensor needs cleaning.

you forgot to bleed the air out the water jaket so you have a big air lock in it, look for a water hose at the higest point in the engine bay it should have a screw or a bolt in it this it the bleed valve fill the rad with water undo this valve turn on the car heater to hot and run the engine up til;l there is no air coming out this bleed valve only water, then shut it off top up the rad and run the motor up till its hot check the rad water is still toped up,,,it should be ok after you bleed the air out,,,,,most cars need to be bled if the coolent is drained becouse the rad it lower than the top of the engine,,and this is a comon mistake so dont go beeting yourself up becouse you missed it out

take one of you heater hoses off then start engine
