1995 cutlass supreme passenger front power window won't go down. Master control from driver side works. Child lock is NOT on. Any ideas?

I just got the exact same problem in my 1992. Same window and everything.

Could it be frayed wires or the contact piece that is the problem? And if so, how do I get to that area so I can diagnose and fix the problem??

Change out the window's drive motor, the teeth on the drive shaft have most likely broken off as they are plastic.

1998 olds cutlass driver side window switches dont work except for the switch that controls the passenger side front door window that works but all others dont work, would that mean need a new switch or...

Do the individual door switches work their windows? If so, it would be the driver's side door switch, the master switch, that is bad.
The fact that one window works off the driver switch means that power for the windows is at least getting to the master switch, and that the ground for all power windows is good. If the other door switches work, it is just the master switch, not a wiring problem.

The passenger side brake light, and passenger side (front and back) window control doesn't work is it a fuse?

Well, the short answer is no.
The lights and windows are are different fuses.
There's a slight chance you have a problem with a ground wire on that side, but I doubt the two problems are related.
I would check the light for power and ground, and look at the window switches for power and ground. The windows are powered thru the driver switch on most cars.

Hi! You may want to start spraying contact cleaners on the control switches. If these switches are seldomly used this issues happens. Try it and see how it goes. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

All my power windows operate fine from the drivers side switch. None operate on there on individual switches.. What could the proble be

The simplest possibility is that you have inadvertently engaged the child-proof window-lock. This happens frequently with my rental car customers, who call complaining that their windows do not work. The button is usually on the driver side arm-rest right next to the window controls. On your car, it could be someplace else. If you cannot toggle the window lock using the button, there is a possibility that the window-lock switch itself has gone bad, and needs to be replaced.

1994 Olds cutlass supreme..Electric Window not working

That should be it for fuse compartments..

If its not the fuse(s) or relay it might bethe switch,, or the motor..

Try to determine if there is power getting to the switch,, if so see if there is power to the motor..

You can find replacement parts pretty cheep on-line..

Hope this helps !!

The thermostat adjustment control may need to be replaced. Also check the hose on the back for cracks, clogs, or missing.

Driver side window control not working

The drivers side window master switch has to be checked for power coming of the switch .

The control should be replaced, but make sure your fuses are good.

Rear side windows

This may be just a case of inadvertently hitting the window lock out n th driver door window switch by mistake. Check that first. Here's some background on window operation

Principles of Operation
The driver power window regulator motor is controlled directly by the master window/door lock/unlock switch (and its integrated "auto down" module). Power is supplied to the power window relay and the master window/door lock/unlock switch, and the passenger power window switch when the SEC/timer module grounds the coil side of the power window relay. The SEC/timer module will ground this relay when the ignition is in the ON position and will remain energized for approximately 15 minutes or until the driver or passenger door is opened.
The driver power window regulator motor is a reversible motor that is operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to lower the window, and then reversing polarity on those leads to raise the window.
The passenger power window regulator motor is controlled directly by the passenger power window switch and can also be controlled by the master window/door lock/unlock switch.
The passenger power window regulator motor is a reversible motor, which is operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to lower the window, and then reversing polarity on those leads to raise the window.
The power rear quarter glass is also directly controlled by the master window/door lock/unlock switch. The power rear quarter glass power latches also utilize reversible motors. The power rear quarter glass power latches are operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to open the window, and then reversing polarity on those same leads to close the window.
