2005 Scion tC speedo/hvac illumination issues. So today I did a small upgrade. Changed out the radiator/fan shroud/thermostat sensor/center grill fog lights/corner edge fog lights/both o2 sensors. After completing all that once it got dark I noticed that my speedometer and hvac don't illuminate anymore. But it's weird. The needle/gauges don't light up But the Odometer and instrumentation lights( check engine/seat belt/etc) still light up. Hvac don't light up but the clock works perfectly. And when I turn on AC the light next to it lights up. All other interior lights work as normal. I'm at a loss and have no idea at this point.

SOURCE: instrument cluster bulb is out. how do i replace

It may not be a bulb, as the instrument cluster usually has a number of bulbs and they probably didn't all blow at once. Pulling instrument clusters can be touchy and may not be for the average "shadetree mechanic" however, typically there are a few screws above the cluster going into the dash pad and a few hidden behind the trim panels below the cluster.

I changed the radiator in my 2005 kia amanti an filled with fluid an it's still running hot.

Could be bad thermostat, bad hose collapsing, bad fan or shroud, leaking head gasket, timing too advanced, bad waterpump, electric fan thermostat switch, dirty cooling system, others.

Scion tc overheating

let the car cool down. feel radiator with coolant.start the car with a/c ON.the fan will tun ON if not the fan or power to the fan is a problem.
if the fan is good monitor the upper radiator hose for building high pressure before the hose is warm(cylinder head gasket is bad)
if the car don't overheat with a/c on(radiator fan switch is bad)
monitor the temperature to about 180*F-190*F and the lower hose will start to warm up. if not thermostat is bad.replace with fail safe one
good luck

Scion tc 2005: door indicator on gauge wont shut off?

check all of your door latches to see if they all work. If there are sensors on the body where the door closes toward the center B PILLAR of the car it has sensors for the doors, then push them in and see which one is bad. Sometimes the door sensors are located in the door actuator which usually goes to the driver;s door due to it's high use.
