I have a 2001 Pontiac Montana. The driver side rear brake light is melting the socket of every bulb that I put in there after a couple of days. What can I do to fix this?
Make sure your useing the correct bulb and its pluged in the right way, if your sure of that, than check your ground a poor ground could do that, when there is a bad ground, it will travel thru the positive to find a ground maybe overloading it. There is a chanse it could be a bad break light switch. You can chk. that by applying the breaks for a little wile and let off and feel the switch and see if its excessively warm or hot.
