Hey there; I have the Chevy Aveo (2004) factory model CD Player, which was working fine up until about a week or two ago, when it started displaying "Error 5", at first restarting the vehicle or ejecting and reinserting the CD was enough to cause the error to clear, but as of yesterday it simply displays the code and returns to the radio. Any help would be much appreciated. :) Cheers & Thanks; Dusty<>

if you have installed a new cd player in there then the propblem could be that your speaker wires and either touching each other or grounding them selfs out.. pull of the cd player and check to make sure all the speaker wires are covered properly and no bare wires are exposed.. if you still have a factory cd player in it then you will probably need to take it to a dealership to have it checked out..

Here's an easier way. Purchase a 9 volt battery powered radio / computer MEMORY RETAINER. Plug into your cigarette lighter/power socket SECURELY. AFTER replaceing the battery, remove 9 volt poer feed, and BINGO. Radio stations memory, clock will all RETAIN. their memory. Hope this helps
