I have a 1994 chevy lumina van. It will start and idle, but only for a few minutes before dieing. If I try to press the accelerator while idling it stalls. have replaced the fuel filter, plugs and wires, and the fuel pump and throttle body are working fine. any suggestions on what else to check?
You have a fuel pump relay that may be defective, or fuel pump or maybe the crank position sensor,a cam position sensor.the best thing is to have a scan performed with an obd1 scanner and you will know where to start the repair.
Try replacing the throttle position sensor. I had the same problem in my truck. It would start and run for a bit but as soon as you let off of the pedal, it would die. Try it and see if it works.
