2006 Vue 2.2L Creaking in Front End

I have a 2006 Vue 2.2L and a creaky front end...mostly noticed at low speed....going over bumps etc... I thought it may be the sway bar links as I've read there are problems with them so I changed them but no luck.
What's the likelihood of it being a strut mount or a bushing issue? Any experienced Vue owners out there?

I have the same problem with my 2006 V6 AWD Vue... it is much worse in cold weather. I'd love to know what needs lubed/replaced rather than taking it somewhere and playing the 'replace parts til it's fixed' game.

I went a little wild with some white grease and some chassis/bearing grease. I don't have the creaking anymore....but I don't know which of the items I lubricated was the culprit..

I have a 2006 vue redline which has the same problem. A little noise in warm weather and the noise gets worse in cold weather. Had the dealership fix this twice while under warranty. Now that the warranty is done it's 400 per side. to fix this.

I have an 03' vue with same problem. I took it to my garage, and found out it was indeed the strut. My mechanic told me that vues have issues with struts, and wheel bearings. You may want to have your struts checked.

It sounds like an issue with your steering or suspension. Because it gets louder and faster as you drive, it is almost certainly something that is either loose, or worn out. I have seen tires that have a bump or a blister on them to create a bumping noise, like you're driving over several speed bumps at once. I would take it to a trusted place and just have them do a front end inspection. Some places will even do this for free, hoping they'll find a problem and make their money back. I believe that Midas was doing free front end inspections. If not, lots of places will do it when you get your oil changed, etc. You may want to look under it yourself and just see if you can push or pull on anything and feel any slack or looseness.

Grinding or creaking in 2008 ford fusion front end

Mr.Mangus have you checked at all your front suspension struts, shock absorbers,or lower wishbones with bushing and ball joints? I had recently a diesel ford focus 2007 with similar case and both front wishbones were replaced due to ball joints and bushes and then sent for steering alignment. Vehicle drive excellent. Please check.

Squeaky front end saturn vue

Worn control arm bushings, worn stabilizer bar end links or bushings. Worn strut mounts. Worn ball joints, worn tie rod ends (less likely)

I have a 2005 GMC Sierra Z71 4x4 that recently started making a loud creaking noise in the front end. It is very loud and occurs instantly when turning the steering left or right, and also is noticeable...

You might want to check the ball joint. None of them have grease zerks and can dry out. They will cause a noise when turning or hitting a bump, if really bad. Hope this helps.

I have taken my 2003 GMC Envoy in to a GM dealer more than 6 times to be repaired for a very loud creaking noise in the front end. When I brake, the creaking noise starts. Or if I go over a bump, the...

My wife drives a 2003 GMC Envoy and has been complaining about this same creaking noise upon breaking or going over speed humps. I researched this topic on the internet high and low and tried everything I read to no avail. I was about to give up and then realized it could be the motor mounts since when you break or go over bumps the engine does have some movement. Sprayed the most interesting looking motor mounts I've ever seen with silicone spray and the noise was gone! My wife has been complaining for years about this noise and now looking back what a simple solution!. By the way my motor mounts where not worn out, the rubber portion of the mount just needed a little lube.

There is a creaking noise coming from the front end when I stop and go. I already had the flow bar mounts replaced because the mechanic thought thats wht was causing the noise, however, it is still doing...

Lift hood, observe strut mount while pushing car up and down. If you see movement of the top bolt and nut it could be loose or worn. Radius arm bushing could be loose. Do you mean stabilizer bar bushing when you say flow bar mounts? Also check rear stabilzer bar end links.

Creaking Noise in Front Axel when going over speed bumps/dips in road

My grandfather has a 97 Ford Crown Vic that used to do the same thing. He had the front end greased when he got an oil change and that solved the problem. So thats probably all you need.

Noise on my front passenger tire

This one really fires me up! First go back to Discount tire and "speak" to the manager. Tell him you want the actual problem fixed and that you want the cost of that repair subtracted from the cost of the tires since you didn't come in to buy tires in the first place. If he won't agree to that, DON'T pay them any more money to take pot-shots at fixing the problem. Take it to another shop but make sure to let him know that you'll be contacting his regeional manager, the BBB, and your local news papers consumer rip-off column writer. That said, it's very possible, depending on the miles on the vehical, that you may have a worn or bad ball joint or somehow something in the suspention has come loose, ie: pitman arm, control arm, shock, etc... The only way to know is to have a reputable professional inspect the front end.
