My 2003 kia sedona door lock stays unlocked

I answer to your statement these door handles are mounted with 4 small bolts located inside the door frame. You will need to remove the door card to get access to them. Once the 4 bolts are removed the handle can be lifted out far enough to remove the pull bar the handle operates. The handle should then simply lift out. Refitting is the opposite of this method.

These might sound like silly suggestions but I've done this. Have you tried unlocking both doors? It might unlock just the passenger door but you will be able to reach over and open the drivers door.
If yours is the hatchback version have you tried unlocking the boot lid and climbing through the car? I think some models of the saloon have a release to drop the rear seats on the back of the seat panel so you could climb through that way.

The problem might be the key coding system.you got a key reader on the ignition barrel,a little controller neqr the interior fusebox communicating with the engine control unit.best is to diagnose the system and find the faulthy part.

Try disconnecting the neg. battery terminal. Open the drivers door and leave it unlocked then reconnect the battery back up.

You have a defective door lock actuator motor, more then likey water has gotten into it from a torn weather seal boot. Remove the door panel and replace it.

you can try fishing a coat hanger through the top of the door by prying out on it slightly and pushing the unlock button or snagin the actual lock lever thats aabout the only thing i know of

should like water has frozen inside the door on the mech, its probely released by now , or water has cause a short in the door electrics

put key is drivers side door. lock-unlock 3 times in 5 seconds and then try to start. of this does not work or lock is seized, you will have to have towed to the dealer for svc

is yours the renault keycard to start and open doors?if it is a know these cards can go faulty.they were bad on renault laguna.the switch breaks off the board inside card.can be soldered back on.think you can get replacement switch kit on ebay with instructions how to fix.need someone who can solder with some eletronics knowhow.if not not sure sorry
