WHAT IS THE RIGHT TIME TO CHANGE THE TIMMING BELT

  • 16hankster Jul 21, 2011

Had the same issue with my 2006 Jetta TDI, the wiring harness going from the car to the door had several broken wires. Replace the wiring harness for the door or splice in new wires to fix the broken wires.

Doors wont lock. Windows won't work. Car thinks the door is locked because when I open the hood alarm goes off. Security light is flashing when doors are closed. Locks don't engage when driving...

Window fuse's and relay's may be up under driver or passenger side dash or behind glove box, under the hood and even under the seats, and finally on the ends of the dash. All passenger power windows and locks are controlled thru and get power from the master control switch on the drivers door. Could be a broken wire in the rubber boot going from the door to the body. You will have to eliminate each till you find the culprit. Check that all switches return to neutral when released. It could also be the body control module.

2006 Jetta TDI 4-door sedan driver's door electronics quit. No window, lock, fuel door, nothing. Neither fob works this side of car. trunk opens occasionally with fob. had window regulator replaced...

This sounds like a bad control or broken wire inside the door, you will need to remove the door panel and check for broken wires, also remove the controls and make sure all connectors are connected good and tight, this is where i would start also just check all of the fuses.

You need to start with checking the fuses, sounds like they are blown. Fuse panel is on side of drivers dash, you need to remove panel, just pulls off.

I have a vw 2005 1/2 jetta tdi and the driver door shut but nothing on it works, like the windows, locks and it also does not read that the door is shut. Can you help me?

try looking between the front door jam and the door that is where the connection point is for the door electronics. you might have to pull the kick panel there to see if the door bulkhead connector has worked it's way loose as it did on mine
