Code p0720 refers to output shaft speed sensor(OSS)--circuit malfunction====causes--wiring--OSS sensor--ECM/TCM
of it has just happened check the wiring and connections to the transmission for water and corrosion or replace the OSS sensor in the transmission.

Luck off power trasmission safe mode cames on code p0720

p0720 is usually a speed sensor. Newer BMWs have a speed sensor at each wheel, which also sends information to your traction control. If one of the sensors is giving a wrong reading, the vehicle thinks you are losing traction and it cuts power.

P0700 p0720 codes. dodge stratus 2002 "jumping" speedometer drives erratic. sometimes sticks in 2nd gear. I've replaced output speed sensor to no avail. whats my next step?

Check the wire harness, make sure there are no breaks or crushed wires. Also check the wire harness to the TCM, look for any loose connections. Good luck and keep me posted. Be glad to help.
