Question about 2000 Dodge Intrepid
I have a 2000 dodge intrepid and my window does not aligne straight, I took it to a machanic and he said the clamps are broken. When I called a auto glass repiar place they siad I would need to replace the whole window becouse they do not sale the clamps alone. Is this tru? and if not, what do you think it might be?
Try another auto glass shop. these tabs at the bottom are very common. BE AWARE, when taking off the old broken tabs off of the glass, there is always a chance of the glass breaking. then you would have to buy a new window. look for a company that has an address, a place that you can go for these types of problems.

I had a really nasty rock chip that cracked my entire window. If it wasn't for my insurance I would have had to pay for the entire auto glass repair. It was fairly painless too, they came to my work and replaced it.

Most likely it is your tracking clips that have worn out which is usually the case. You can order these from the dealer for a few bucks or keep calling around to your neighborhood Auto Glass repair shops. replacing these clips is dangerous and could lead to shattering the glass. Have a professional install them. It shouldn't cost you anymore that 40-50 bucks.
