Question about 2001 Pontiac Sunfire
My Wife's 2001 Sunfire's icm circuit is still draining the battery in 2 days.
The circuit is hot at ALL times and draws ~ 5 amps or more.
Something in the circuit is faulty.
As a band aid fix I've wired a 10a fuse from the cruise control (powered only with ignition on) (the car has no cruise control) but then we have no interior lights until the ignition is on.
Does anyone have any idea what I could check, Hope it's not a faulty instrument cluster. Thanks for looking.
SOUND LIKE THE IGNITION SWITCH IS OPEN.IT FEEDS POWER TO PCM AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER THEN TO CRUISE CONTROL AND OTHER CIRCUITS.IF THE IGNITION FUSE IS GOOD IT HAS TO BE THE SWITCH OR A BROKEN WIRE.
