Why does everyone think that power windows have relays? Well, maybe Volvos do, but most cars use a circuit breaker at the fuse panel. You need top pull off the driver's door master switch and check if there is one hot wire there to switch with the key on. If you don't, check for broken wires in the door opening. Check if the circuit breaker's terminal has power to it.
When all windows fail, it is usually a wiring problem, not the switches or the motors, but all of them may need checked. If you have a hot wire to the master switch, you will need to check the power window's ground-it originates at the master switch and goes back into the cabin, then to a nearby ground.
This is the set up for most cars, I suspect your is the same. If hot wire to master and good ground, it could be a failed master switch, but check carefully for broken wires in the door opening.

No power to convertible switch 2000 mustang gt fuse are ok

Principles of Operation
The convertible top will only operate with the parking brake engaged and the ignition switch in the RUN position. When the parking brake is engaged, the raise and lower relay coils are grounded through the parking brake switch. The convertible top switch supplies power to the raise or lower relay coil when raise or lower is selected. This power energizes the coil causing the relay contacts to close which supplies battery power to the convertible top motor/pump assembly. The normal state of the relay is connected to ground. When the raise or lower relay is operating, the other relay remains in its normal state supplying the motor/pump ground.

Inspection and Verification
  1. Verify the customer concern by operating the system.
  1. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.

    Visual Inspection Chart Mechanical Electrical
    • Door and quarter window glass adjustment.
    • Convertible top brackets and frame.
    • Hydraulic motor and pump.
    • Hydraulic lift cylinders.
    • Central junction box (CJB) Fuse 20 (15A).
    • Battery junction box (BJB) circuit breaker CONV TOP (25A).
    • Wiring harness.
    • Loose or corroded connections.
    • Raise or lower relays.
    • Parking brake switch.
    • Convertible top switch.
  1. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
  1. If the concern is not visually evident, verify the symptom and refer to the Symptom Chart.

Click on the link for part of wiring diagram. You can see fuse and relay in smart junction box. The smart junction box, behind right hand lower A pillar panel, passenger side. I can't walk you through it, because I'd have to look at it.

Hey Joe, not trying to bug you. If I spend time trying to find info, I'm going to post it, regardless of how many answers on the post. You should do the same. Have a good day.

Where is the power window relay located in a 2002 mercury villager?

Principles of Operation
The driver power window regulator motor is controlled directly by the master window/door lock/unlock switch (and its integrated "auto down" module). Power is supplied to the power window relay and the master window/door lock/unlock switch, and the passenger power window switch when the SEC/timer module grounds the coil side of the power window relay. The SEC/timer module will ground this relay when the ignition is in the ON position and will remain energized for approximately 15 minutes or until the driver or passenger door is opened.
The driver power window regulator motor is a reversible motor that is operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to lower the window, and then reversing polarity on those leads to raise the window.
The passenger power window regulator motor is controlled directly by the passenger power window switch and can also be controlled by the master window/door lock/unlock switch.
The passenger power window regulator motor is a reversible motor, which is operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to lower the window, and then reversing polarity on those leads to raise the window.
The power rear quarter glass is also directly controlled by the master window/door lock/unlock switch. The power rear quarter glass power latches also utilize reversible motors. The power rear quarter glass power latches are operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to open the window, and then reversing polarity on those same leads to close the window.

Top worked fine yesterday but today tried to let down only clicked

It is a hydraulic pump that applies pressure to the 2 hydraulic pistons to raise & lower the top. So, check for something obstructing movement first.

The convertible top:
  • is motor-driven.
  • requires parking brake engaged to complete circuit for operation.
  • is equipped with a back window glass (42006) . The back window glass is permanently attached to the folding top back window curtain (52500) and cannot be opened.

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART Mechanical Electrical
  • Damaged fluid reservoir.
  • Damaged folding top hydraulic cylinders .
  • Damaged folding top motor upper and lower hose .
  • Damaged convertible top regulator.
  • Parking brake not engaged.
  • Open power distribution box circuit breaker CONV TOP (30A), fuse junction panel Fuse 1 (15A).
  • Circuitry open/shorted.
  • Damaged convertible top switch.
  • Damaged raise/lower relay .

2002 Chrysler convertible Top wont raise - Suspect motor . How do i get to the motor to inspect

The body control module controls all the functions of the convertible top. The body control module supplies a multiplexed voltage of approximately 90% of ignition voltage to the power top switch. Through a series of resistors the power top switch switches the circuit to ground depending on the position of the switch. The BCM then supplies the ground path for the up or down relay as requested. The power top switch has a 4.7K-ohm diagnostic resistor that allows the BCM to detect a possible open circuit.

so we need to pull codes to properly diagnose the system

however, in the mean time here is some more information you may like...

The convertible has a feature that allows the operator to lower all four windows and lower the top at the same time. This is accomplished by pressing the power top switch to the second detent. Through the multiplexed circuit of the power top switch the BCM will supply the ground for the window drop relay assembly.
The window drop relay assembly is comprised of four separate relays that are in series with the power window circuits. The relay assembly is located in the driver door

I'd start by looking at the switch and replay plus possible hydraulic level.

2005 PT convertible top won't raise - can top be manually raised?

Check your manual for the location of the top fuse.
Your car left the factory as a hardtop and was converted to a soft top by a Chrysler authorized company so the top fuse(s) may not be with the other fuses.
