Hi Bhim, Your question is one that philosophers through the ages have failed to answer, but as you have come to our FixYa website expecting an answer, I will. To help your understanding, realise love is not a feeling, but an experience. Love is not an emotion! Do not be confused thinking of love as an emotion. Love is a way of life we only experience when we trust the image in which we are created. Too many are afraid of love, afraid of commitment, not realising part of the responsibility of love is freedom. To show who we are to another, in other words, to show love, we need to trust the love within us. The loving part of us we keep hidden is love. We are created in the image of God and God is love, but do not confuse God with religion! Religion has nothing to do with God! God gave us freedom and declared all of us equal within his eyes. Being created in the image of God means we are all God like, and being so, no one can be superior or inferior to any other. We all have an equal right to live and an equal right to love. Religion has tried to take away the gift of freedom given by God, and in so doing impose political control to manipulate us. Love is the image in which we are created. but to allow another or others to know our image, means we need to trust that person or those people with who we are! We need to entrust ourselves to them, choosing to give our truth. If you hide love and cannot give, you cannot receive love. We have been wrongly taught to hide who we are. We have been taught to hide truth and become mistrustful. Religion created our society and society spreads the fear of love. We need to learn to trust. The choices between trust and mistrust is a continuous choice made within every moment of our lives. If we choose trust we choose love, if we do not, we choose hate, which is the way of life which is the reality of life on our world today. Trust is the key you choose to use or ignore, the choice is yours! Choosing trust requires courage and will open the door to life, releasing you from your prison. While the door remains locked there is only existence within life. Take that step and trust. Don't count material loss, if you want to live, learn to trust. Trust yourself and love. Only when you trust another with yourself can love become reality. Freedom is one of the gifts God has given us so never try to repress another's freedom thinking it is love! If you trust and you're refused, accept that answer, but never refuse friendship, for that too is part of love. Within love you may feel the emotion of happiness or hurt, desire or despair, anger or elation. All emotions are within love because love is the way of life God asks us to live. Trust God to show you the way. Don't believe anyone who tries to force restrictions upon your love. You are love! I was once asked this question....Why don't nations trust each other? I answered because people don't trust each other. I was then asked how the world would be if people trusted each other? I said there would be no more wars and people would live together in peace, accepting one another. There would be world peace and paradise on earth! And then the voice asked why don't people trust? and I said I don't know! And the voice asked who is a person? And I realised I am and at that point within time I did not trust. The way the world is, is our responsibility! We can change hell into heaven, even one person at a time! Do you want to live in that place you day dream about?
