I need to find where to check transmission fluid

Does it have spark ? If it does can you spray some starting fluid into the throttle body and see if it starts ?

have the transmission fluid level checked , replace the fluid if not so done in the last 30k miles , if does'nt help will need further diagnosing

place all the bolts on their heads and find the long ones. next use a piece of wire and place it in all the holes to find the depth of each hole. Short bolts =shallow holes . long bolts = deeper holes

DISTRIBUTOR IS THE CRANKSHAFT SENSOR.

This problem can be due to cheap fluid being in the transmission

put some synchromesh in it and it should smooth out your shifting.

This can be a serious problem, especially when the engine warms up and the cheap or old fluid thins out.

Check this video out, it is not the same model as yours but the ideas and the general location of parts are the same.

The original fluid was Dexron III.

There is always a guage there. Fill and use the guage to determine wat amount but do not exceed the guage line.
