Question about 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix

1 Answer

Blower fan goes off with hitting a bump

Hit a bump on the road and the blower fan stops. It will sometimes restart when you hit a bump or hit the dash. Have already replaced the control panel. It worked for 3 weeks the then the on off with the bumps happened again. The bump turned the fan off permenantly. Nothing seems to be working.

The blower motor is under the dash on the passenger side.
Could be a faulty blower resistor too.

A/c stops and starts

Possible causes are a faulty blower motor, fan switch, resistor, or controller. Blower motor would be my first guess.

The A/C blower just stopped when I hit a bump in the road. I checked all the fuses and relays and all were good. Help

It is likely the blower motor is bad, turn the key on,and the blower on high, bump the blower motor with your hand,if it starts working, replace the blower motor,if it does not, then look at the back of the fan switch to see if the connector is burned,if so,replace the switch and the connector,If this is at all helpful, please rate, thank you.
