replacement strut inserts can be got from most suspension shops along with rear shockies.
If you are not familiar and don't have the tools have a suspension shop do the job as it will be done inside 4 hours.

Get a shop manual, as you need to mark current settings and must use correct torque values when reassembling.

check ball joints and tie rods also very bad chock absorber and tables can be hazardous

Computer is located under hood, driver side, front side of strut tower, mounted on fenderwell.

Sounds like the cv joint on one of the axleshafts. I would also try rotating the tires, front to rear, rear to front.

If you have a coil compressor or take the struts to a shop that has one. The oil pan gasket shouldn't be an issue.

You can drive on those struts untill it has no sping, and even then it is just dangerous because of bad handling. If it is you struts, then your car should bounce up and down if you tap the brakes, because the gas seal is leaking.
Struts are very easy to replace. The only special tool is a spring compressor, but it is easy to use, and you may be able to borrow one at an auto parts store like the AutoZone. Just a couple bolts at the top and bottom, and it comes right out. They cost less than $100.
If it doesn't bounce...it could be your half-shaft. Does it click when you make a turn backing up?

unless the strut mounts are improperly installed, I would check swaybar links and bushings, and outer tierods

you will have to disconnect the strut mounting bolts, remove the axle shaft, lower ball joint and tie rod end, the bearing is pressed in so it is best to have a machine shop service that, then get an alignement

This vehicle has struts under the front of it. The springs are not left and right specific nor are the struts. But the springs are made onto the strut assemblies. Unless you have a strut compressor I would not attempt changing the springs unless something is wrong with them.
